The 31st district includes Rosedale, Shawnee Heights, Argentine and a part of Turner. Put another way, the 31st district is 2 by 6 miles of Wyandotte County south of the Kansas River, from State Line Road to I-635, with the southwest edge of the district just west of I-635.
Our district’s historic communities are home to about 22,000 Kansans. The 31st is one of the most diverse districts in the state, while also being one of the smallest, most urban and, interestingly, most forested. Our district is in the middle of the Kansas City metropolitan area, located between Downtown Kansas City, the Country Club Plaza, the second busiest rail yard in the nation and Johnson County.
